Utilizes the nursing process in providing direct and indirect care of patients to achieve the hospital mission of competent, Christian holistic patient care in patient focused care environment. Patients range from early adolescence to the very old, however, the major populations served are adult and geriatric. Implements and abides by Customer Service Standards. Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate. Supports and demonstrates Family Centered Care principles when interacting with patients and their families and with co-workers.
EDUCATION
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required. Baccalaureate or Masters in Nursing preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of nursing principles, policies, procedures, and hospital ethics.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Minnesota required. Basic Life Support (BLS) required. IV Therapy Certification and Technique required.
