Utilizes the nursing process within a patient focused care environment in providing direct and indirect care of patients to achieve the hospital mission of competent, Christian, holistic patient care. Adult and Geriatric patient populations are the primary focus of care provided. Implements and abides by Customer Service Standards. Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate. Supports and demonstrates Family Centered Care principles when interacting with patients and their families and with co-workers.
EDUCATION
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required. Baccalaureate or Masters in Nursing preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of nursing standards, policies, procedures, and ethics. Completion of Saint Cloud Hospital Competency Based Orientation Program. Previous experience in nursing preferred.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Minnesota required. Basic Life Support (BLS) required. National Certification in a Nursing Specialty preferred. Oncology Based RNs: ONS (Oncology Nursing Society) chemotherapy/biotherapy provider card required within 24 months of hire. Current ONS provider card must be maintained at all times.
