Utilizes the nursing process within a patient focused care environment in providing direct and indirect care of patients to achieve the hospital mission of competent, Christian, holistic patient care. Patients cared for are adults, with occasional care for adolescents ages 17 and up. Implements and abides by Customer Service Standards. Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate. Supports and demonstrates Family Centered Care principles when interacting with patients and their families and with co-workers.
EDUCATION
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required. Baccalaureate or Masters in Nursing preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of nursing standards, policies, procedures, and ethics. Completion of Saint Cloud Hospital Competency Based Orientation Program. Previous experience in nursing is desirable. Sufficient training will be provided in lieu of required experience.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Minnesota required. Basic Life Support (BLS) required. National Certification in Medical-Surgical Nursing preferred.
