Job Description

Responsible for leading and implementing TCAB (Transitioning Care at the Bedside) for the hospital and LEAN projects for the hospital and the System to improve business performance. Serves as the key resource to departments, teams, and individuals to facilitate improved design, management, and control of operations both clinical and business applications. In collaboration with leadership is responsible to provide active and effective support and consultation with focus on complex issues for St. Cloud Hospital performance improvement processes utilizing multiple and varied CQI principles with emphasis on use of TCAB and LEAN to accomplish measurable results. Effectively communicates, facilitates, and is able to manage group processes to meet deadlines. Demonstrates highly developed project management and systems thinking skills, coordinates all aspects of assigned projects and serves as a key change agent. Able to conceptualize, develop, analyze, synthesize, and utilize information to develop an effective action plan with measurable feedback mechanisms to assess results. Implements and abides by Customer Service Standards. Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate. Supports and demonstrates Family Centered Care principles when interacting with patients and their families and with co-workers.

Baccalaureate degree in Nursing required. MBA or MHA preferred.

Minimum 3-5 years experience in business process consulting or process improvement including implementation of process improvement methodologies and tools. Prior experience or training in TCAB and LEAN methodologies preferred. At least two years of experience in utilization of computer software applications, CQI theory, and tools required. Demonstrated experience in work redesign, leading and implementing multi-disciplinary teams centered around quality, process and productivity improvement. Previous experience using statistical methods to identify trends, presentation of data, and using data to drive change required. Must have highly developed interpersonal, leadership skills and team building skills with the ability to interact well with all levels of the organization and the system including administration, medical staff , leadership and front line staff. Excellent writing and presentation skills required.

Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Minnesota required.
