Responsible for directing the process of billing patient charges for the family practice residency program to provide efficient and accurate billing. Coordinates the education of residents and faculty in regarding to proper billing and coding. This position is a working supervisor. Implements and abides by Customer Service Standards. Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate. Supports and demonstrates Family Centered Care principles when interacting with patients and their families and with co-workers.
EDUCATION
Two years post-secondary education or equivalent experience is required. College degree is preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum five years experience in health care billing and general accounting WITH three years supervisory experience required. Prior medical residency experience preferred. Familiarity with PACE and IDX billing systems a definite plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
