Provides psychological evaluation and treatment services to clients, while maintaining record keeping responsibilities and contributing to team building and personal, professional development. Develops and implements special services assigned to meet the needs of specific client groups. Provides clinical supervision to other staff psychotherapists and counselors within Recovery Plus. Provides services to, and on behalf of, patients of all ages. Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate. Implements and abides by Customer Service Standards.
EDUCATION
Masters Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or related Human Services field required.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum two years of counseling psychology experience, and
Minimum of 1,040 hour internship. Or
Three or more years of counseling psychology experience required.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Licensure by the State of Minnesota Board of Psychology as Licensed Psychologist (LP) or
Licensure by the State of Minnesota Board of Social Work at Independent Clinical level (LICSW) or;
Licensure by the State of Minnesota Board of Marriage and Family Therapy as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist to provide independent clinical services (LMFT) or;
Licensure by the State of Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health & Therapy as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) required.
Licensure by the relevant State of Minnesota board must be completed within two years of completing standards for education and experience as required by the relevant board.
Any persons who have direct client contact must have been free of chemical use problems for at least the two years immediately preceding their hiring and must sign a statement attesting to that fact. Chemical use problems includes the following:
Receiving treatment for chemical use within the period specified for the position in the staff qualification requirements; Chemical use that has a negative impact on the employees job performance;
Chemical use that affects the credibility of the treatment services with clients, referral sources or other members of the community; and Symptoms of intoxication or withdrawal on the job.
Successful compliance with Minnesota Law, Chapter 372 relating to sexual exploitation of patients by staff providing psychotherapy services.
