Responsible to conduct key components of the SCH PI plan which includes activities to monitor for appropriate utilization of acute care services, track and report quality indicators, support the medical staff peer review and credentialing processes, conduct risk management functions related to patient complaints and patient safety activities, JCAHO required activities and payer certification processes. Assists in maintaining the Infection Control program surveillance as appropriate. Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate. Implements and abides by Customer Service Standards. Supports and demonstrates Family Centered Care principles when interacting with patients and their families and with coworkers.
EDUCATION
Graduate from accredited registered nurse program required. Bachelors degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Performance improvement, quality assurance, risk management or infection control related experience is required. Acute care clinical experience preferred. Computer knowledge/experience is preferred.
Must possess a working knowledge of medical/legal issues in health care with special emphasis on documentation issues. Knowledge and background with JCAHO is highly beneficial.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Current RN License in State of Minnesota required.
