The Sustainability Coordinator develops and leads the sustainability program for St. Cloud Hospital to carry out the facilitys commitment to minimizing harmful environmental impact of hospital operations. Program elements include: environmentally preferable procurement, waste reduction and recycling, utility use reduction, toxicity reduction and other initiatives adopted by the organization to enhance its sustainability efforts. Implements and abides by Customer Service Standards. Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate. Supports and demonstrates Family Centered Care principles when interacting with patients and their families and with co-workers.
EDUCATION
Bachelors degree in business, natural resources, environmental studies, education or related field required. Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) accredited professional preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Two years of relevant experience in the field of sustainability/green initiatives required. Significant familiarity with hospital operations preferred. Demonstrated success in healthcare sustainability operations strongly desired. Experience with grant writing desirable. Strong written and verbal communication skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
