Responsible for daily management of the Lab. Establishes policies, procedures, standards and objectives for the provision of Lab Services. Evaluates performance, maintains quality control and quality assurance. Performs laboratory tests and other day-to-day activities of the department in a professional manner in accordance with federal, state and local regulations and District policies and procedures as directed by the Laboratory Services Director. Assumes responsibility for the department in absence of Laboratory Services Director.
Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related science. Associates degree in Laboratory Science with equitable experience to the position will also be considered.
Certified by ASCP and/or NCA or equivalent as defined by CLIA ’88 guidelines.
