Directly manages and mentors project coordinators and project management staff within the Project Management Office (PMO). Assigns PMs to project initiatives and manages staff capacity. Responsible for the IT Project Dashboard and project metrics as well the continual improvement of project management methodologies and tools utilized within the PMO. Reports to the IT Director, Business Alignment and Solutions. Education/Experience: Must have at least 5-10 years of project management experience and a proven record of project management accomplishments including large-scale implementations and enterprise methodology implementations and improvements. Experience in managing a Project Portfolio and Enterprise ResoruceResource Planning is essential. Experience in team building and mentoring across multi-functional areas. Requires excellent communication and soft skills including the ability to manage internal IT and external business relationships. Special Knowledge/Skills/Certifications/Licenses: PMP Certification is recommended by not required. Familiarity with standard project management methodologies and practices such as those based on the PMI PMBOK framework. Knowledge of project management tools such as MS Project and MS Office. Experience in PPM tools is also recommended but not required.
