Job Description

In a dyadic relationship with the Medical Director, the Service Line Administrator is the co-leader of HealthEast Heart Care (HHC). The scope of duties includes the full continuum of care for cardiovascular patients across the HealthEast Care System. This includes outpatient physician clinic visits and diagnostics, outpatient hospital diagnostic and treatment services, inpatient interventional and medical care, and programmatic support.

The Service Line Administrator will be responsible for providing leadership for all HHC directors, managers, providers and staff across the enterprise, including the following areas: HealthEast Heart Care Clinics St. Josephs, Maplewood, and Woodwinds; Non-Invasive Heart Care St. Josephs, St. Johns, and Woodwinds; Invasive Heart Care St. Josephs; Cardiac Rehab St. Josephs, St. Johns, and Woodwinds and Cardiac Surgery program staff. Provides indirect support and program leadership to Cardiac ICU, Telemetry, Med/Surg, and Special Care St. Josephs Hospital in conjunction with Patient Care Executive.

Within the context of HHC, the Service Line Administrator will be responsible for operationalizing the strategic imperatives of the organization. These include implementation of the Enterprise-wide Electronic Health Record, the transformation of the culture to one of Value-Based Improvement (i.e., Lean performance improvement) and the creation of the HealthEast Accountable Care Organization.


Master's Degree (e.g., MBA, MHA or equivalent) required.

Minimum of 10 years health care administration experience required. Previous experience in cardiovascular services or physician practice executive leadership preferred. Previous experience in building physician relationships required.

Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of healthcare market and approaches to the delivery of cardiovascular care. Demonstrated success with building physician relationships, including primary care and other specialty providers.
Ability to articulate a vision and lead others through change. Demonstrated skills in strategic planning and execution. Experience with lean performance improvement strongly preferred. Strong financial and business development skills. Proven ability in leading teams, deepening physician and staff engagement, and building cultures. Knowledge and ability to direct and manage complex care deliver services. Demonstrated success with leading multidisciplinary teams. Strong communication and conflict management skills.
