Promotes the use of Epic systems/applications to support quality patient care
Demonstrates the ability to work with a variety of providers and skill levels in a teaching hospital
Demonstrates strong communication and presentation skills
Utilizes a variety of training techniques
Handles training logistics; room, scheduling, equipment, etc.
Develops and conducts technology competency assessments
Provides end user training for individuals and groups
Conducts training for various Epic systems, applications.
Develops and modifies training curriculum lesson plans and courses
Creates in depth curriculum content, adapts training content to maximize learning outcomes
Creates scripts, tip sheets, and lesson plans for end user training
Assesses existing training methods and suggest improvements
Develops thorough understanding of application functionality and workflows
Consults with management teams on workflow modifications and integration into training
Documents and tracks end user training
Collects end user feedback and identifies ways to improve system design and implementation
Serves as a resource to Super Users and other customers
Serves as a liaison with assigned departments or service lines learning the specialty and
business and workflow needs.
Maintains and enhances knowledge of IS systems and applications, revenue cycle, regulatory,
and other required information. Contributes to policy and procedure development
Builds, tests, and maintains training environments
Participates in go-live user support
Provides implementation problem report analysis, consultation, and follow up.
May participate in test script development, unit and integration application testing
Utilizes Lean quality improvement methodology working with project teams and key
stakeholders in support of process improvement goals and objectives.
Bachelors degree plus 4+ years experience developing training programs and conducting healthcare and/or information Services training required. OR approved equivalent of education and experience
Must possess knowledge and understanding of adult learning principles
Demonstrated experience in leading and executing complex project plans
Ability to write concise, documentation of a technical subject matter.
Ability to measure effectiveness of training.
Demonstrated self-motivation skills and aptitude to direct and assist others in a learning or support setting.
Excellent demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Experience developing web based training strongly preferred
Experience in a clinical setting highly preferred
Experience with Epic strongly preferred
Epic certification a plus!
