Support the collaborative ambulatory process. Provides care to infants, children, adolescents and adults as delegated by provider, RN Supervisor or RN. Prepares clinic for daily function. Welcomes patient/family and assists with visit flow. Effectively communicates patient/family information to other staff members
*License / Certification: Current Medical Assistant Certification or Registration preferred. *BLS/CPR certification *High school diploma or GED *Completion of all requirements in a recognized Medical Assistant training program or equivalent. *One year or more Medical Assistant patient care experience or equivalent required. *Computer experience including word processing and Windows applications. *Ability to work effectively under stress and efficiently handle daily fluctuations in patient volume. *Ability to work effectively and professionally with patients, co-workers and physicians. *Working knowledge of computers and software applications. *Ability to accurately document information in the electronic medical record. *Phlebotomy skills with all age groups. *Radiology certified or ability to obtain certification within four months of hire. *Demonstrated ability to function with multiple priorities and interruptions.
