Support the collaborative ambulatory process. Provide family centered care to infants, children, and adolescents as delegated by provider or RN. Prepare clinic for daily function. Welcome patient/family and assist with visit flow. Effectively communicate patient/family information to other staff members.
Additional responsibilities: collecting vital signs, height, weight, OFC, preparing patient for examination, assisting with procedures/treatments as delegated, accurately documenting care in the electronic medical record.
* High School diploma or GED equivalent. * BLS certification required. * Completion of all requirements in a recognized Medical Assistant training program or equivalent. * Ability to work effectively under stress and efficiently handle daily fluctuations in patient volume. * Ability to work effectively and professionally with patients, co-workers and physicians. * The desired candidate will possess working knowledge of computers and software applications.
