Perform preliminary screening examinations and/or tests to facilitate the diagnosis and treatment by the physician. Assist the physician with procedures and care of the patient. Assist customers with the selection of eye wear. Order, dispense, repair and adjust eye wear and contact lenses.
This position is full-time, 80 hours every 2 weeks, day shifts.
Certified Ophthalmic Assistant preferred. High School graduate is preferred. Must have knowledge of medical terminology, graduate of a two year ophthalmic training course preferred. Previous health care experience in ophthalmology, optometry, and/or optical office preferred. Basic Life Support Certification required.
