*This position is located in the CentraCare Business Center near the St. Cloud Hospital*
The Accounts Receivable Analyst is responsible for the timely application and resolution of all insurance claims and personal payments per regulatory, payer and Corporate Compliance requirements for the hospital. Functions as a resource in the area of third party, State and Federal Government payers. Responsible for integrating system and hospital practice management and other available system technologies into the billing and accounts receivable process consistent with Corporate Guidelines. Implements and abides by Customer Service Standards. Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate. Supports and demonstrates Family Centered Care principles when interacting with patients, their families and with co-workers.
Associate's Degree from a vocational or business college in computers, insurance or equivalent relevant experience in lieu of education required.
Data entry experience preferred. Minimum of two years healthcare billing preferred. Proficient computer skills required. Knowledge of healthcare billing and third party payer requirements preferred. Experience in a hospital or clinic environment working with third party payers, billing, and terminology preferred. Knowledge of health insurance, CPT codes, Diagnosis Codes, claim form locators, Revenue Codes preferred. Knowledge of general accounting principles preferred. Basic communication skills, computerized office applications, and customer relations principles. Ability to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner with attention to detail and accuracy.
Current CRCS-P or CRCS-I certification through AAHAM preferred. Epic certification preferred.
