Responsible for assessing the needs of Hospice patients and families and offering support through music therapy. Also responsible for assisting in memorial services, grief support, education, hospice team support, and other duties as assigned. Music therapist cares for clients of all ages. Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate. Supports and demonstrates Family Centered Care principles when interacting with patients and their families and with co-workers.
Graduate of an accredited music therapy program with Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy. Meets personnel qualifications stated in 418.114(b). Completion and passing of National Certification Exam (CBMT) credentials of MT-BC Music Therapy Board Certified preferred.
Experience in working with terminally ill required. Demonstrated skills in interpersonal communications, public relations, human relations and time management required.
A valid Minnesota driver's license with access to a vehicle for work, a driving record in good standing, and the minimum amount of insurance liability coverage required.
