Job Description

The Educator teaches designated educational program(s).
Education: Must successfully pass the S.T.A.B.L.E Lead Instructor proctored pre-test.
Experience: At least two (2) years Newborn Nursery care experience.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current MN RN Licensure.

Experience: Two (2) years equivalent (>4000 hours) of recent within 5 years Level 2, Level 3 or Level 4 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Experience

Knowledge of the learning process, specifically adult education. Knowledge of teaching techniques and evidence of creativity; decision making and problem solving skills; audio-visual equipment and techniques. Ability to develop and maintain open, positive, cooperative and collaborative working relationships with all course participants. Ability to manage time wisely, organize and set priorities, meet deadlines and accept responsibilities. Ability to present and evaluate educational programs. Ability to positively represent the department within the St. Lukes and to positively represent St. Lukes within the community. Ability to foster positive relationships for St. Lukes through education and networking. Ability to understand and follow complex oral and written communications. Ability to maintain records and prepare reports.

READING - Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
WRITING - Intermediate: Ability to write routine reports, correspondence, or procedures.
SPEAKING - Intermediate: Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, small group situations or before groups of customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Basic Skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY - Intermediate Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Ability to do bending, walking, and sitting for up to eight (8) hours and be able to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds
