Job Description

This position will produce, merchandise, package and sell upscale food items for the Overlook Deli & Coffee Shop operation in the hospital. The individual will be required to assemble attractive, upscale salad/sandwich items, bottled beverages, sweets, sushi, and miscellaneous items; display and set up entire kiosk area, be responsible for all cash operations for the unit, as well as control costs, maximize sales through analysis of customer purchase patterns and interaction, as well as maintain immaculate, sanitary conditions during production and sales of the items. They will be responsible for all storage and cleanup of all areas related to production and merchandising of these items. Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

None

Experience:

1 Year Experience in food service industry or customer service experience.

Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:

None

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to creatively produce, display, and market high-end food items

Knowledge in food merchandising methods and techniques

Ability to understand and produce a profit/loss statement and maintain cost controls

Strong numerical skills and demonstrated accuracy and consistency in cash handling.

Superb customer relations skills
