The pharmacy technician is an extension of the pharmacist, working under his/her direct supervision, to facilitate the documentation and control of the distribution of medication. Deliver medications and exchange medication trays. Pick unit dose medications as specified on patient profiles or fill lists. Pick up and return/credit medication upon patient discharge. Assist Pharmacist in IV preparation. Prepackage oral tablets and liquid medications in unit dose or unit of use containers. Process patient charges for floor stocked and Acudose medications. Process employee OTC requests. Re-supply patient care areas with medical/surgical supplies.
MINIMUM STARTING WAGE: $14.67 per hour; you may be eligible for a higher rate of pay based on transferable skills and/or direct work experience.
QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or GED. Graduate of approved Pharmacy Technician program is desirable. Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the MN Board of Pharmacy. Certification by the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or equivalent is required.
